Dear Rockland Golf Course Member, 

It is hard to believe, but 2010 is upon us and a new golf season is rapidly approaching! Our sincere hope is that each and every 2009 member makes the decision to return for the 2010 season. One of the primary goals of the RGC Board of Directors is to increase membership in 2010. To accomplish this challenge, we have established an innovative and aggressive program. The continued success of the Rockland Golf Course is dependent upon meeting this challenge, as a vibrant and strong membership will sustain us through difficult periods and enable us to grow.  

As many of you are aware, our membership has declined substantially over the past several years. In an effort to reverse this negative trend and achieve our goal of increasing membership in 2010 and beyond, it has been decided to offer two membership incentives. One is a Recruitment Incentive for returning 2009 members, while the other is a Recessionary Membership Special for new or lapsed members. These incentives involve Full Memberships and do not apply to student, junior or twilight memberships.  

Recruitment Incentive

• For any returning 2009 member: Recruit one new member for the 2010 season at the introductory rate of $750 and receive the same $750 rate for the 2010 season.
• For couples: Recruit one new couple at the Introductory rate of $1500 and receive the same discounted rate of $1500.
• This incentive allows every returning 2009 member the opportunity to help RGC increase our membership while receiving a significant savings on their own dues.
• It is a WIN-WIN situation for any member who decides to participate.
• If you are interested in this program, please contact Keenan Flanagan for a Sponsor’s Form which will identify the individual you have recruited and record the credit you receive when paying your 2010 membership dues.
• For those members who have all ready paid their 2010 membership, the Incentive is still available, and would result in a refund or credit upon enrollment of the new member. Remember, the new member could not have been a Full or Senior Member in 2009.

New Member Introductory Offer

A locally advertised and promoted SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP RATE of $750 for the 2010 season. Offer expires July 1, 2010. This promotion will be advertised beginning in mid-February. 

Please remember, each and every member has the ability to reduce their own membership rate for 2010 by simply recruiting a new member. We have a wonderful golf course with the capacity to accommodate many more golfers. Like any good business, we MUST raise our membership levels in order to sustain the quality of the course and continue the improvements that increase the enjoyment for everyone at RGC! 

Finally, we are pleased to announce the inaugural Spring Membership Meeting, to be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. To be held at the Clubhouse, the purpose of this meeting will include presentation of the club tournaments and special event schedules, introduction of new members, announcement of the first recipients of the Members-of-the-Month (April) awards, introduction of the Pro Shop and Grounds keeping staff members, as well as the introduction of the new restaurant operator. Suggestions are welcome for additional topics for the Spring Membership meeting. We sincerely hope to see everyone attend!!
